As a key member of the Prisma Health team, the Clinical Operations Manager will oversee the daily clinical operations of assigned clinics, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate clinical support, manage staff, and develop quality improvement programs.
Responsibilities- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and other activities related to direct patient care.
- Participate in the assessment of clinical staffing needs, adjusting staffing levels and forecasting needs.
- Develop and conduct orientation and in-service training for clinical staff.
- Develop, implement, and maintain emergency preparedness plans for clinical response.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and physicians.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of quality improvement programs, including incident reports, patient complaints, and suggestions.
- Monitor local, state, and federal regulations affecting operations and assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of policies and procedures.
- Contact vendors for repair or routine service of medical equipment.
- Maintain adequate levels of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals.
- Ensure adherence to DEA, DHEC, CLIA, and other regulatory agency policies and procedures.
- Oversee physician schedules.
- Associate's Degree - Nursing
- 2 Years - Nursing experience in the specialty area with physician office practice experience preferred.
- 1 Year nursing experience in the specialty area and 2 years' experience as a non-RN clinical coordinator in a physician practice.
- 1 Year nursing experience and 5 years of Medical Assistant experience.
- SC Registered Nurse
- CPR Certification
- Basic Computer Skills
- Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
- Mathematical Skills
- Patient Equip (Vitals, Suction, Defib)
- Leadership skills
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice
- Knowledge of Laboratory and X-ray equipment and procedures
- Skill in developing and maintaining quality improvement programs
- Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations
- Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Knowledge of insurance and managed care procedures
