Job Summary
As a Clinical Operations Manager, you'll oversee the daily clinical operations of our clinics, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. You'll coordinate clinical support for patients, families, physicians, and support staff, while also participating in the planning, development, and evaluation of departmental growth and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and other activities related to direct patient care.
- Field and direct clinical telephone calls.
- Participate in the assessment of clinical staffing needs and develop strategies to address them.
- Develop and conduct orientation and in-service training for clinical staff.
- Develop, implement, and maintain emergency preparedness plans for clinical response.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and physicians.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of quality improvement programs.
- Monitor local, state, and federal regulations affecting operations and develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Manage medical supplies and pharmaceuticals.
- Oversee physician schedules.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- 2 years of nursing experience in the specialty area, with physician office practice experience preferred.
In Lieu Of
In lieu of 2 years of nursing experience, we may accept 1 year of nursing experience in the specialty area and 2 years of experience as a non-RN clinical coordinator in a physician practice.
In lieu of 2 years of nursing experience, we may accept 1 year of nursing experience and 5 years of Medical Assistant experience.
Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses
- SC Registered Nurse.
- CPR Certification.
Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities
- Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier).
- Mathematical skills.
- Patient equipment (vitals, suction, defib) knowledge.
- Leadership skills.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice.
- Knowledge of laboratory and X-ray equipment and procedures.
- Skill in developing and maintaining quality improvement programs.
- Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.
- Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Knowledge of insurance and managed care procedures.
