Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Trades Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical trade and be able to perform a variety of tasks, including installing fixtures, motors, and electrical components, diagnosing and resolving electrical system malfunctions, and supervising others in the repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installs and maintains electrical systems and equipment, including fixtures, motors, and electrical components.
  • Diagnoses and resolves electrical system malfunctions, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Supervises and trains subordinate staff in the proper use of small hand tools, specialized trade machinery, equipment, and materials.
  • Conducts inspections of facilities and equipment, making recommendations for repairs or replacements.
  • Interprets and follows architectural blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
Requirements
  • Four years of full-time experience in the electrical trade under a skilled tradesperson, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Successful completion of a two-year Trades Specialist (Electrician) traineeship or a two-year electrician training, apprenticeship, or equivalent program.
  • Ability to perform medium to heavy physical labor and follow appropriate safety standards.
  • Valid New York State Motor Vehicle Operator's License and possession of a Class A or B CDL (preferred).
