Job Title: Assistant Manager

At Pick Up Stix, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager in maintaining high standards of store operations, including functioning as the Store Manager in their absence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Store Manager in maintaining high standards of store operations, including functioning as the Store Manager in their absence
  • Maintain positive and open communication with the FOH/BOH staff
  • Assist in the maintenance of proper Company and government required documents on staff
  • Assist in writing staff schedules
  • Interview prospective employees
  • Train employees
  • Participate in performance evaluation process
  • Reward employees
  • Discipline employees
  • Support operations by performing any other duty as assigned, to ensure the restaurant is producing to standards
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One (1) year of related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of Pick Up Stix
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Physical Demands:
  • The employee is required to:
  • Regularly: stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel, talk, hear, taste, smell, lift and move items weighing up to 10 pounds, work in loud environment
  • Frequently: walk, reach with hands and arms, lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Occasionally: sit and stoop, climb or balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, work with moving mechanical parts
