About the Role

We are seeking an experienced healthcare executive to serve as the Chief Executive Officer of Maine Veterans' Homes. As the organizational ambassador, you will lead the team in providing high-quality care to Maine's veterans and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advocacy and Public Relations: Engage with local, state, and federal elected officials to secure ongoing financial support and explore funding and development options.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans that support the organizational mission and anticipate the needs of the next generation of veterans.
  • Operational Execution: Work closely with senior leadership and staff to implement operating plans, budgets, policies, and procedures.
  • Leadership and Workforce Development: Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain qualified staff, including training and development opportunities.
  • Financial Management: Monitor the organization's financial position and provide transparent communication to the board and key stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
About Maine Veterans' Homes

Maine Veterans' Homes is a non-profit, award-winning senior services healthcare provider offering unparalleled care and comfort to approximately 600 of Maine's veterans, their spouses, and Gold Star families in our six homes throughout the state.

We are a separate, nonprofit organization from the Department of Veterans Affairs but work closely with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to access federal funding for Veterans' benefits and care.
