Job Overview

Salary: $20.06 Per Hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the creation, coordination, and execution of the Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance (ERSEA) and Parent, Family, and Community Engagement (PFCE) components in accordance with Head Start program Performance Standards and applicable regulations.
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery within the program.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of families and maintain privacy regarding all information gathered during service provision.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Establish and uphold procedures for documentation, multi-disciplinary team communication, and tracking systems for ERSEA and PFCE components.
  • Monitor chronic attendance across all programs.
  • Ensure enrollment levels meet funding requirements consistently.
  • Evaluate all applications for eligibility.
  • Confirm that all eligibility criteria are satisfied to comply with funding obligations.
  • Ensure compliance in all facets of the ERSEA and PFCE components.
  • Collaborate with service delivery staff to actively engage families.
  • Assist in the development of parent education materials and community events.
  • Work in partnership with the ECS EHS Management Team to ensure compliance and continuous improvement across all service areas.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to designated staff members.
  • Facilitate training for staff on the documentation, implementation, and monitoring of ERSEA and PFCE components.
  • Organize and execute parent/family/community events.
  • Aid in securing resources and materials for PFCE activities.
  • Supervise interns as necessary.
  • Collect, review, and analyze data for program reporting and ongoing enhancement.
  • Complete all required program documentation and record-keeping accurately and promptly.
  • Promote agency programs within the community and recruit families.
  • Engage in personal and professional development activities, including staff meetings, conferences, and training sessions as approved by supervisors.
  • Foster a positive, innovative, and supportive team environment while addressing complaints and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Attend community events and meetings to support agency programs, including evening and weekend engagements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
  • Experience in Early Head Start/Head Start programs.
  • Family Service Credential to be obtained within 18 months of hire or at the first available opportunity thereafter.
  • Familiarity with Head Start Performance Standards, Head Start Act, Great Start Readiness Program Implementation Manual, and State Licensing Regulations is preferred.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively.
  • Demonstrated strength-based leadership skills.
  • Experience presenting information to community groups.

Additional Requirements:

  • Possess a solid understanding of child development and family services, with a commitment to ongoing learning.
  • Complete any additional certifications as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards at all times.
  • Proficient in computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet).
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and compliance with driving record review.
  • Successfully pass required background checks upon hire and as requested.
  • Provide a physician's report confirming physical capability and freedom from communicable tuberculosis.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Self-directed and capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to achieve desired outcomes within set timeframes.
  • Willingness to embrace new challenges.
  • Skills in conflict resolution and effective navigation of interpersonal dynamics.
  • Compliance with agency policies regarding tobacco and drug use.
  • Recognize the significance of consistent attendance and its impact on colleagues, clients, and the agency.
