The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a dedicated Advanced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to deliver exceptional clinical services within an outpatient pediatric psychiatry setting. This role is essential in providing comprehensive mental health care to children and adolescents, ensuring that they receive the support needed to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance clinical outcomes and operational efficiencies.
- Conduct thorough clinical evaluations, both in-person and through telehealth, to diagnose a variety of mental health disorders.
- Develop and implement evidence-based, individualized treatment plans in partnership with patients and their families.
- Educate patients and families on treatment options, medication management, and health promotion strategies.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to assess and enhance the effectiveness of treatment services.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a current license as an Advanced Practice Nurse-Psychiatric Mental Health in Texas and possess a Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program. Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a commitment to patient confidentiality are essential. Experience in a fast-paced clinical environment and proficiency with electronic medical records are preferred.
Compensation
The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
