Job Title: VP/Principal Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Global Industry Leader

Recruiting Resources, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced VP/Principal Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Global Industry Leader to lead our Strategic Sourcing and Procurement organization. This is an exciting opportunity to join a top management consulting firm and/or large financial services firm and make a significant impact on our procurement activities.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide overall direction to the Sourcing and Procurement organization, including efforts to reduce costs, mitigate risks, improve spend compliance, and establish best practices. They will monitor and measure Sourcing and Procurement Organization effectiveness against established performance metrics, develop a highly qualified and effective Sourcing and Procurement Organization, and facilitate change management with colleagues and key stakeholders throughout the system.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing and procurement plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, and internal customers.
  • Monitor and analyze spend data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Approve high-dollar contracts and negotiate with suppliers to achieve best possible terms.
  • Identify and implement new technologies and processes to improve procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain a highly qualified and effective Sourcing and Procurement Organization.
  • Monitor and measure Sourcing and Procurement Organization effectiveness against established performance metrics.
Qualifications:
  • B.S./B.A. degree in Business (or other related degree programs), MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of Strategic Sourcing/Procurement experience, Performance Measurement, Contract Negotiation, Project Management, Category Management, Business Analytics, Change Management.
  • Strong knowledge of category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management processes.
  • Proven track record in delivery of complex, cross-functional sourcing and procurement initiatives on time and on budget.
  • Demonstrated success in leveraging company-wide spend by ensuring the implementation of global/international agreements.
  • Nationally recognized professional certification preferred (Certified Purchasing Manager or Certified Professional Contract Manager).
  • Experience being on a project team implementing new technology and/or enterprise level process change a plus.
