Job Summary:
Emory Healthcare is seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for administering comprehensive clinical services to patients, providing testing, analyses, and evaluations of seriously ill patients or those having complex medical problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer comprehensive clinical services to patients, including testing, analyses, and evaluations.
- Formulate treatment plans consistent with patient needs.
- Communicate regularly with patient care team members, patients, and family members.
- Instruct and train patients and family members regarding pertinent aspects of patient care.
- Assess patients to provide diagnoses and identify problems.
- Plan treatment schedules to ensure optimal use of staff and equipment.
- Collaborate with other patient care team members and use community resources to plan for continued care, support, and follow-up after discharge.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current licensure in Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Georgia.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- One year of Speech-Language Pathology experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
