Job Summary
The Security Officer is tasked with upholding a comprehensive understanding of and adherence to all institutional guidelines. This role involves executing daily operations to ensure a safe and secure environment across campus facilities.

Essential Qualifications

- High school diploma required; valid driver's license necessary; must successfully complete a psychological evaluation in accordance with state regulations; must pass a thorough background investigation.

- For armed officer positions, candidates must be at least 21 years of age.


Preferred Qualifications

- Previous law enforcement or security training is advantageous.


Physical Requirements
Campus: LMU-Knoxville

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately discharge a firearm if the role necessitates being armed.

- Ensure personal safety and the safety of others, utilizing both lethal and non-lethal methods as required.

- Conduct routine security patrols of all campus properties.

- Maintain the security of all keys and access points.

- Investigate and document incidents of crime and other occurrences.

- May be responsible for entering and tracking crime and incident statistics in the reporting management system.

- Address any observed policy violations.

- Report maintenance and grounds issues through daily activity logs.

- Oversee traffic safety and issue citations for traffic and parking violations.

- Demonstrate the ability to respond swiftly to emergencies.
