Key Responsibilities:

The Night Shift Supervisor will coordinate and oversee daily and weekly operations on assigned shifts. This role involves:

  • Implementing effective safety programs, training, and communication to ensure employee well-being and job performance.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement through practices such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and 5S.
  • Scheduling team members to meet production timelines and addressing any discrepancies with appropriate resources.
  • Providing technical guidance to maintain ongoing quality improvement processes.
  • Overseeing autonomous maintenance activities and continuously enhancing processes to improve equipment Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Supporting inventory management to minimize costs while ensuring raw material availability.
  • Collaborating with other departments to stay informed about advancements in machinery, materials, and techniques.
  • Delivering accurate and timely operational reports to management.
  • Establishing and recommending standards for manpower, workload, and cost management across production, maintenance, and shipping departments.
  • Ensuring team members receive appropriate training.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:

  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
  • Experience in nonwovens is preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts.

Language Skills: Candidates must demonstrate the ability to read and interpret information in various formats. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic office software, including word processing, email, and spreadsheets, is required. The ability to solve practical problems and implement effective solutions is crucial.

Physical Requirements: This position requires frequent walking and reaching, with the ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, adhering to safe lifting practices. Climbing ladders is also necessary, along with the capacity to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends as needed.

Work Environment: The role is primarily conducted indoors within a manufacturing setting. Employees may encounter moving mechanical parts and should adhere to safety guidelines regarding clothing. The noise level is typically moderate, and seasonal temperature variations may occur.
