Role Summary
Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, this role is responsible for ensuring the quality of materials necessary for the accurate processing of products.
- Accountable for inspecting books in accordance with customer specifications.
- Expected to perform additional tasks of similar or lower classification as directed, which may involve changes in department, hours, or work conditions.
- Must demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace, including disposing of waste and cleaning floors as necessary.
- Participate in cross-training and perform tasks of higher classification as required by management.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to meet production standards of efficiency and skill.
- Proficient in reading and comprehending processing requirements, as well as writing and following verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of making informed safety decisions when handling materials and adapting to changing work environments.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, adhering to company policies and standards of conduct.
- Ability to work in a production setting that may involve varying temperatures and conditions, including noise, dust, and adhesives.
- Physical capability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, frequently bend, lift up to 40 lbs regularly and 70 lbs occasionally, and maneuver heavy book trucks.
- This position may require scheduled overtime based on production demands.
