Role Summary

Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, this role is responsible for ensuring the quality of materials necessary for the accurate processing of products.
  • Accountable for inspecting books in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Expected to perform additional tasks of similar or lower classification as directed, which may involve changes in department, hours, or work conditions.
  • Must demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace, including disposing of waste and cleaning floors as necessary.
  • Participate in cross-training and perform tasks of higher classification as required by management.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to meet production standards of efficiency and skill.
  • Proficient in reading and comprehending processing requirements, as well as writing and following verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of making informed safety decisions when handling materials and adapting to changing work environments.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, adhering to company policies and standards of conduct.
  • Ability to work in a production setting that may involve varying temperatures and conditions, including noise, dust, and adhesives.
  • Physical capability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, frequently bend, lift up to 40 lbs regularly and 70 lbs occasionally, and maneuver heavy book trucks.
  • This position may require scheduled overtime based on production demands.
