Construction Inspector

LDG is currently seeking qualified Transportation Inspectors (TCI) and Transportation Construction Inspection Supervisors (TCIS) for our ongoing Highway and bridge projects located in various locations through the South Western Pennsylvania. This work includes Penndot, PA Turnpike, and municipality projects.

• Inspect and document construction activities for Transportation and/or Civil projects.
• Use various computer software programs to document observations and create inspection reports.
• Monitor work of team to ensure timely completion of project.
• Interact with clients, contractors, sub-contractors, government agency representatives, and other parties on a regular basis.
• Communicate information, respond to inquiries, and help resolve field issues to ensure successful completion of projects.
• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining required certifications.
• Utilize technical references appropriately for the inspection of structural, concrete, earthwork, building, and mechanical components.

• Education: GED or high school diploma required. Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
• Experience: minimum of two years of PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike, or related transportation construction experience.
• Licensure/Certification: NECEPT bituminous and concrete, ACI, NICET Level 2 or higher in Highway Construction, CDS NextGen, KAHUA.

• Experience with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, or related organizations preferred.
• Previous Construction Inspection experience preferred.
• Experience working with CDS NeXtGen and Kahua preferred. Must possess valid driver's license.
