I. Role Summary

Your primary responsibility will be to execute security protocols and procedures, ensuring the protection of individuals and property while safeguarding valuable assets.

II. Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Security Manager in their absence.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and security protocols among all personnel, as directed by senior management.
  • Develop and manage the work schedule for the security team.
  • Oversee the training of new hires and provide ongoing training for existing staff.
  • Manage the Security Key Control program and property access systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of Lost & Found items.
  • Organize and conduct monthly safety training sessions.
  • Review and distribute security reports to relevant departments.
  • Prepare documentation as requested by management.
  • Investigate incidents and document findings, including interviews with involved parties.
  • Provide coaching and support to security staff as needed.
  • Ensure that all equipment and work areas are maintained in excellent condition.
  • Conduct regular property patrols.
  • Assist management with various tasks as required.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for department materials.
  • Report any safety hazards or unsafe practices to management immediately.

III. Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in security and safety, preferably in a hospitality environment.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with staff, guests, and external agencies.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively, even under pressure.
  • Physical ability to lift and move items weighing up to 200 lbs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to handle emergency situations with composure.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Certifications Required or Obtainable:

  • CPR / First Aid AED certification
  • Class D Security License
