Process Automation Systems Engineer

**Salary:** $85,000 - $110,000 per year
This position offers a challenging opportunity to work as a Process Automation Systems Engineer at Control Southern. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in automation and control systems.
The primary responsibility of the successful candidate is to ensure the delivery of projects executed by their group meet or exceed customer and company project success criteria. Meet or exceed customer and Control Southern project success criteria with the objective of maximizing both short-term and long-term profitability.
The selected individual will serve as the technical point of contact between the Project Manager and the technical disciplines involved in large, complex, or strategic projects executed by their group.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring delivery of projects meets or exceeds customer and company project success criteria.
- Interpreting technical documents, requirements, and design specifications with attention to detail.
- Reading and understanding industry-standard engineering drawings, including system/network architecture, P&IDs, electrical power wiring diagrams, grounding wiring, control panel layout, terminal block layout, installation details, fabrication details, loop sheets, PLC/DCS I/O termination, and cable block diagrams.
- Compiling, organizing, and maintaining supporting documentation obtained from OEM suppliers, external customer representatives, component suppliers, and internal team members.
- Working with Resource Manager to forecast resource needs for current and upcoming projects and ensuring resources are assigned to projects to optimize customer satisfaction and company profitability.
- Creating an environment for a highly motivated and engaged team of professionals.
- Developing partnerships with customers and acting as the focal point for ensuring customer satisfaction across all project work undertaken by the group.
- Providing support to the sales team in developing and winning new business with current and new customers in the assigned industry.
