Job Summary

The Senior Financial Manager - Europe and Canada will be responsible for leading the financial operations of European and Canadian businesses, including financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting. This role will ensure accurate and timely completion of financial statements and serve as the primary liaison to banks, auditors, and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures to minimize risk.
  • Oversee the production of periodic financial reports, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Recommend benchmarks for measuring company performance.
  • Produce annual budgets and forecasts, reporting significant differences to management.
  • Provide financial analysis to support operational performance, inventory management, capital investments, and commercial decisions.
  • Manage cash flow in multiple currencies, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Review monthly journal entries, bank reconciliations, and income statement accounts for missing or miscoded transactions.
  • Responsible for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual activities related to financial information.
  • Work with external auditors to provide necessary information for annual audits.
  • Ensure adequate training needs are followed through and promote a fostering work environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • Seven years or more of related experience required.
  • Minimum of three years' experience as a Controller supporting a multi-site business with revenue in excess of 100 million.
