Licensed Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Electrician to join our team at PEMCCO, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and installation/repairs of electrical/mechanical tunnel and bridge systems equipment in support of our customer in Hampton Roads.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial electrical components.
• Install and repair electrical/mechanical tunnel and bridge systems equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems or failures.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Operate and use required tools and equipment skillfully and safely.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License.
• Flexible schedule.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

Work Conditions:

• 90-day probation period.
• VDOT industry training.
• Significant all-season/all-hour operating conditions.
• May be subject to short or no-notice work assignments.
• Work is primarily outside along interstate highways requiring necessary safety precautions involved in working with electricity in and alongside traffic.
