Groundperson - Union - ATE

The Groundperson is a vital member of our team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient clearance of vegetation and debris from utility lines. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate chainsaws and other equipment to clear vegetation and debris from utility lines.
- Drag, gather, and feed brush into wood chippers to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Service and maintain company vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be willing to join the local union and pay union dues.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Entry-level position, no experience required, but previous experience a plus.
The Groundperson will be required to work in a variety of environments, including outdoors in all types of weather. The physical demands of this role include:
- Standing, walking, and climbing for extended periods.
- Lifting, carrying, and pushing heavy objects.
- Working at heights and in confined spaces.
