The Business Development Representative implements the philosophy, policy, procedures, systems and strategic goals set forth by the senior management team while maximizing the highest level of customer service to the assigned referral sources. The territory will be focused on expanding business opportunities in the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Business Development: Collaborate closely with hospital discharge planners, social workers, case managers, physicians and management to generate referral sources.
- Relationship Building: Fortify existing relationships with referral sources and identify opportunities for partnering and growth.
- Lead Management: Manage leads from referral sources and ensure an efficient admissions process for clients.
- Market Research: Utilize analytic tools, such as Salesforce, to effectively plan and evaluate activity to optimize results.
- Community Outreach: Represent the facility in professional forums and communicate mission in all outreach interactions.
- Event Planning: Plan, organize and attend marketing events on behalf of the facility to promote programs and services.
- Referral Generation: Develop events and educational forums that demonstrate programs and provide an opportunity to identify potential referral sources.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field.
- Experience: Two (2) years in a healthcare, business development/marketing/sales environment with measurable business development results.
- Skills: Excellent working knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles, managed care background is a plus.
