Primarily Emergency Department/Inpatient responsibilities
Evening shifts/On-call duties required
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct imaging procedures by adhering to and confirming orders from referring providers. Utilize independent judgment and apply learned techniques in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding the procedures and treatments to be performed. Exhibit professionalism in all interactions; promote teamwork, resource efficiency, and quality patient outcomes.
- Generate high-quality images and prepare them along with relevant patient information for prompt interpretation. Maintain accurate documentation.
- Demonstrate proficiency in performing designated invasive/interventional procedures as applicable, in accordance with established protocols.
- Execute and assess equipment quality control measures. Show the ability to troubleshoot issues and notify appropriate personnel to ensure optimal equipment performance. Uphold a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors while adhering to safety protocols.
- Uphold ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities associated with radiology practice, including maintaining confidentiality of all work-related information.
- Ensure the smooth operation of departmental workflow. Monitor and maintain an adequate supply inventory to prevent service interruptions.
- Carry out all functions in compliance with established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation standards, as well as applicable professional guidelines.
Deliver exceptional service experiences to all customers of Foundation Health by consistently demonstrating our core values and leadership behaviors.
Qualifications- Certificate or diploma from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and state licensure if required. Advanced certification in specialty must be obtained within 18 months of hire if applicable. BLS certification is mandatory.
- This position necessitates clinical expertise typically acquired through 2 years of experience. Effective communication skills, human relations skills, and the ability to analyze data and resolve issues are essential. Foundation Registry and Travel positions require a minimum of one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting, including recent work in the specialty area.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Additional relevant education and/or experience is preferred.
