Position Overview:
EWG is looking for a part-time Junior Research Analyst to support the Healthy Living Science team in the creation and upkeep of our widely-used consumer databases. This role involves evaluating the health and safety of consumer goods and assisting companies in developing safer alternatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the administrative evaluation of products for EWG's Healthy Living Science initiatives and consumer databases. This includes compiling and researching ingredient and product details.
  • Work collaboratively with the EWG Healthy Living Science team to provide ingredient and product assessments for database updates and publications.
  • Review data submitted by companies to ensure compliance with EWG's databases, identifying any deficiencies in submissions and updating data on relevant platforms as necessary.
  • Support file and document management while upholding quality control standards.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in science, environmental health, public health, or a related field.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and skilled in internet research.
  • Strong data acquisition and recording capabilities.
  • Excellent online research skills with the ability to independently manage assigned tasks.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
  • Capable of pacing work to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills.

Compensation:
Hourly wage of $22 for a commitment of 29 hours per week.
