Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Specialist to join our team. As a leading comprehensive contracting business, Upchurch Companies provides a wide range of mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services across the southeastern United States.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair heating and air conditioning systems for comfort cooling or process applications.
  • Work under minimum supervision to perform service, maintenance, and repairs to commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical circuits to ensure safe and efficient system operation.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, including lubricating, cleaning coils, changing filters, and other necessary tasks.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Must have valid driver's license with no major violations within the last three years.
  • Proven experience as an HVAC technician or successful completion of trade school or apprenticeship program. NATE certification preferred.
  • EPA Section 608 Technician Refrigerant Certification required.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently work in hot environments.
  • Lift and carry tools and parts daily, with ability to lift and carry 80 lbs.
  • Must be able to see and respond to hazardous situations, climb ladders, and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly most of the day.
