Job Title: Welfare Fraud Prevention Coordinator

The Department of Social Services is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Welfare Fraud Prevention Coordinator. This role is responsible for proactively identifying and preventing welfare fraud through systematic approaches and data analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to detect and prevent welfare fraud
  • Collaborate with Special Investigative Units and local enforcers to drive engagement with counties around integrity
  • Partner with counties and law enforcement to develop an updated vision for integrity, focusing on skimming, scamming, and systematic fraud
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends and patterns in welfare fraud
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work, public administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, such as social services, law enforcement, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
