User-Focused Librarian for NYU Libraries

We are seeking a highly skilled and user-focused adjunct librarian to join our team at the New York University Division of Libraries. As an adjunct liaison, you will play a critical role in building and providing services to our faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students, particularly in the NYU Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies and the departments of Spanish & Portuguese, French, and Italian Studies.
Key Responsibilities- Provide virtual and in-person reference services to students and faculty
- Offer in-depth one-on-one consultations and instructional activities
- Contribute to collections work and special projects as needed
- Collaborate with the librarian liaison group to ensure service coverage and meet incoming requests
- ALA-accredited MLS/MLIS degree
- Experience in reference, virtual reference, or research consultation services
- Excellent Spanish-language reading, writing, and speaking skills
- Experience in one of the fields or programs covered by these liaison duties
- Familiarity with key library resources in these areas
- Comfort operating in a virtual environment with standard tools
