Position Summary: Our client, a prominent distributor in the pipe supply sector, is in search of a dependable Order Puller for their 2nd shift operations in South Houston. This role involves receiving and processing incoming inventory, selecting and fulfilling orders, and overseeing stock management within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will efficiently organize and allocate materials, ensuring precise packing and dispatching of orders while upholding organizational standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including unloading trucks and verifying merchandise.
  • Sort and arrange materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to established standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by keeping areas organized and performing cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Ensure the warehouse remains orderly at all times.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate safety gear consistently.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, specifically in shipping and receiving.
  • Proficient in operating reach trucks, forklifts, and order pickers.
  • Familiarity with carbon flanges and fittings is advantageous.
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment screenings, including background checks and drug tests.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to strictly follow safety regulations and protocols.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs regularly, and over 100 lbs occasionally.
