Maintenance Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Equipment Specialist to join our team at Pepsi Beverages Company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our advanced production equipment.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities. You will work closely with our production team to identify and resolve equipment issues, perform routine maintenance tasks, and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve overall efficiency.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks on advanced production equipment, including inspections, repairs, and replacements as needed
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, using your knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical systems, and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve issues
- Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve overall efficiency
- Collaborate with the production team to identify and prioritize equipment needs, and develop solutions to address these needs
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and equipment, and make recommendations for upgrades or improvements as needed
- 18 years or older
- Pass technical assessment addressing job-critical maintenance knowledge areas
- Experience with basic electrical systems, including starters, fuses, contacts, and relays
- Experience with electrical systems, including installation, frequency drive, and troubleshooting
- Experience with product manuals, including reading and applying knowledge to make repairs
- Experience with schematics, including electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, and relays
- Experience with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns, including pinpointing and fixing breakdowns
- Experience with reading mechanical drawings, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and gear boxes
- Experience with compressors/ammonia systems, including refrigeration systems
- Experience with conveyers and airveyors, including air cylinders, diverters, sensors, motor/speed controls
- Experience with electronics, including level probes, flow meters, drives/VFDs, etc.
- Experience with gearing and gear boxes, including rebuilds, ordering parts, machining parts
- Experience with hydraulic systems, including high pressure cylinders, pumps, valves, troubleshooting
- Experience with kinematics, including line speed/sprocket size ratios, etc.
- Experience with PLC, including industrial maintenance, computer control systems, etc.
- Experience with pneumatics, including solenoids, cylinders, motor brakes, reading, troubleshooting
- Experience with pneumatics/air compression, including valves, cylinders, etc.
- Experience with preventative maintenance, including computerized preventative charts/data
- Experience with pumps, including troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs
- Experience with SERVO, including intelligent/robotic motors, in-coders, etc.
- Experience working in team-based environments, including working together with others
We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as 401(k) matching and paid time off.
