Job Overview

The Respiratory Therapist Specialist is a critical member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of respiratory therapy equipment. About the Role

This position involves setting up and operating various types of respiratory therapy equipment to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with respiratory diseases or illnesses. The ideal candidate will have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity, as well as excellent problem-solving skills to handle critical situations efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate respiratory therapy equipment to assess patient needs
  • Provide accurate diagnoses and develop treatment plans for patients with respiratory conditions
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective patient care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
Requirements
  • BLS certification
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program
  • Experience: 1 year acute care experience preferred
  • License/Certification: Current Arkansas Respiratory License in good standing, Registered by the NBRC or eligible
  • Preferred Education: Associates Degree, ACLS certification, ACCS certification, PALS, NRP
  • RRT is preferred but CRT is also considered
Work Environment

This role is based in a hospital environment, working with both inpatients and outpatients. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced clinical setting, handling critical situations with efficiency and composure.

Compensation

This position comes with a salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, plus a sign-on bonus of $15,000 - $20,000. This represents a competitive compensation package for this role, reflecting the importance of the Respiratory Therapist Specialist in our organization.
