About Our Job

Denver International Airport is seeking a skilled Plumber I to join our team. As a Plumber I, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and constructing plumbing systems and equipment throughout the airport. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.

Location and Schedule

This position is based at Denver International Airport, and you will be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends. You will be expected to participate in mandatory snow removal duties and be available to work extended hours and/or alternative shifts as needed.

What You'll Do

As a Plumber I, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Performing preventative maintenance and repair work on plumbing systems and equipment
  • Installing and altering new or upgraded plumbing systems and fixtures
  • Responding to plumbing service or trouble calls and providing problem resolution
  • Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing fire protection systems
  • Maintaining, testing, and installing devices for the prevention of backflow, back siphonage, or cross connection
  • Preparing working sketches and working from blueprints, written, or verbal instructions
  • Maintaining records and preparing daily activity reports
  • Estimating materials, labor, and equipment costs
  • Assisting in the maintenance and repair work in a variety of skilled trades areas
What You'll Bring

We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual who is passionate about working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will have a strong background in plumbing and hydraulics, with experience in installing, diagnosing, and repairing plumbing systems and equipment. You will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Required Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET, or TASC Certificate
  • One (1) year of journey-level plumber experience maintaining, repairing, and constructing plumbing systems and equipment
  • A valid Driver's License at the time of application
  • A valid Journey Plumber's License issued by the State of Colorado at the time of application
