Role Overview

Your Career Path

As a key member of our SWFW (Cloud NGFW/Virtualization) division at Palo Alto Networks, you will spearhead the development and delivery of our next-generation virtualization products and cloud security solutions.

Your Contributions

  • Lead and nurture a high-performing Quality Assurance Engineering team responsible for Cloud NGFW, Public Cloud Integration, and SWFW initiatives.
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive quality delivery strategy.
  • Provide robust Technical Leadership in Cloud-Based Orchestration, Security as a Service, Cloud Networking, and Automation Design.
  • Adopt an Automation-first mindset and drive innovation in test design, automation, and frameworks.
  • Engage in system design to ensure Quality Assurance is integrated throughout the entire lifecycle of the SWFW (Cloud NGFW & VM/CN) product development.
  • Develop and enhance Automated test Infrastructure to facilitate scalable and flexible testing that mirrors real-world network deployment scenarios.
  • Refine Test strategies, Automation, and Build infrastructure to deliver high-quality products and cloud services that meet enterprise standards and expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management to identify and drive customer outcomes.
  • Partner with Cloud Technology vendors to define strategic outcomes for NextGen products.
  • Manage high-visibility projects effectively across multiple geographic locations.
  • Establish best practices and metrics that will foster team success.

Required Qualifications

Your Background

  • Over 10 years of software QA experience in Cybersecurity, Networking, and Cloud technologies.
  • More than 5 years of experience in building and leading teams of Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) focused on Enterprise-class Cloud-delivered Network or Security Services across various regions.
  • Proven experience in end-to-end qualification and delivery of Network/Cloud SaaS through Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI-CD) across multiple cloud providers.
  • Hands-on experience with Public Cloud Infrastructure and Networking, particularly in AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing automation frameworks for microservices-based applications or Network Security solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A heightened sense of ownership and a focus on delivering business value, with a leadership style centered on building relationships and establishing trust with diverse colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Deep expertise in computer science and a continuous desire to learn, guiding the team in making informed and practical technical decisions.

The compensation for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary plus commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $180,200 and $291,500 annually. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits is available.
