Position Overview

The Department of the Navy is seeking a qualified individual to oversee a team of professionals including engineers, program managers, IT specialists, and quality assurance experts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical authority on Nuclear Weapon Security (NWS) and Strategic Weapons Systems (SWS) across the organization.
  • Direct the Nuclear Weapons Security Technical Program Division, focusing on engineering assessments and maintenance management.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive management systems and policies for facilities.
  • Formulate innovative approaches and proposals for program tasks, presenting them to management for approval.
  • Establish and maintain a robust configuration management system to ensure the long-term supportability of NWS systems.
  • Evaluate system component processing requirements through detailed reviews of specifications and assembly processes.
  • Manage correspondence and directives to facilitate effective communication among all program participants.
Qualifications

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and suitable for federal employment. A security clearance is required prior to employment, and failure to obtain this may result in withdrawal of the job offer.

Experience should include at least one year in a specialized role equivalent to NH-03 (GS-13) level, demonstrating leadership in Integrated Product Teams focused on Nuclear Weapons Systems and Strategic Weapons Systems.
