Job Responsibilities
- Implement and uphold all regulations, laws, and procedures set forth by the Safety and Security Department.
- Conduct regular surveillance and patrols in designated areas to protect individuals and property from theft, damage, fire, and other unexpected events.
- Perform systematic inspections of facilities, ensuring detailed documentation of observations.
- Investigate incidents on-site and compile thorough and accurate reports.
- Address disturbances and assist staff in managing challenging situations.
- Safeguard the rights and well-being of students.
- Provide transportation support as directed by supervisors in accordance with organizational policies.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to visitors, program participants, and colleagues.
- Transport items as instructed and routinely check vehicles, reporting any maintenance requirements.
- Issue temporary permits and visitor passes as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of security activities and ensure documentation is current.
- Meticulously manage vehicle and transportation logs.
- Keep precise attendance records for students.
- Monitor the entry and exit of individuals, including employees, visitors, and vendors.
- Conduct searches for prohibited items for anyone accessing the premises.
- Supervise individuals in isolation when required.
- Consistently demonstrate and promote appropriate behavior and professional skills.
- Ensure accountability regarding personnel, students, and assets.
- Adhere to safety standards across all operational areas.
- Foster a positive and secure environment, free from discrimination and hostility, conducive to effective work and learning.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions.
- Perform other assigned responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Experience working with young individuals is preferred.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
