We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Lead Cook to join our Early Head Start Preschool Program at Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving healthy and nutritious meals for our students and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to create menus that meet USDA and program requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory of food and kitchen supplies.
  • Promote good nutrition and healthy eating habits among children and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must have, or be able to obtain, a food handlers permit.
  • Experience in food preparation and serving for a large group.
  • Local Health District (6 or 7) food supervisors' course, 3 hours.
  • Food handler course (levels I and II) and record keeping experience.
  • Must pass a Tuberculosis (TB) screening.
  • Must complete a physical exam.
  • Valid Driver's License and proof of liability insurance for personal vehicle.
  • The ability to become CPR and First Aid certified through our training program.
