We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at The Woman's Hospital of Texas. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Department, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission of providing outstanding women's health services.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will assist physicians in performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures, ensuring accurate and timely diagnoses for patients. This position requires a strong foundation in medical imaging, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in performing MRI procedures, including reviewing patient information, preparing equipment, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
  • Transport patients to and from their rooms and ER, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Maintain equipment for mechanical safety, troubleshooting issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Explain procedures to patients, reducing anxieties and obtaining cooperation through clear communication and empathy.
  • Position patients on examining tables, adjusting immobilization devices to obtain optimal views of specified body areas requested by physicians.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited program for Technologists.
  • An MRI registry within 6 months from date of hire for MRI registry-eligible candidates.
  • Three to five years of previous MR experience.

PREFERRED: Experience with women's health and neonatal patients, as well as Philips equipment.

American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification is required.
