Key Responsibilities:
Collect blood specimens from patients using venous and finger puncture methods
Enter collections of blood specimens into the lab information system
Assist medical technologists and/or pathologists in performing designated laboratory tests
Operate medical equipment within the department, preparing solutions and media as well as inoculating specimens
Assist pathologists/pathology assistants in accessioning surgical specimens into the pathology computer system
Requirements:
1+ year of experience in phlebotomy or a related field
Ability to work weekends
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
