Dentist - SCI Fayette

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our team at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Corrections (DOC). As a Dentist with our organization, you will have the opportunity to provide top-notch dental care to our inmate population with compassion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the daily work of the institution's dental staff and be responsible for all aspects of the clinical dental services provided to the inmate population.
- Provide basic dental care and perform all dental treatment; assist specialists in the performance of treatment and related duties while on-site.
- Assure that adequate security, tool control, and Toxic and Caustic Control are carried out within the dental office.
- Consult with and refer inmate patients to physicians, oral surgeons, and other health care professionals.
- Competitive salary with potential for yearly incentive payments in addition to your standard salary.
- Full-time employment with 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break.
- Eligibility for full retirement benefits as early as age 55.
- Eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
- Graduation from an approved school of dentistry.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
- Must be in possession of a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Must pass a background investigation.
