Key Responsibilities- Coordinate Patient Care: Develop and implement individualized plans of nursing care, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective treatment.
- Administer Medications and Treatments: Safely and accurately administer medications, IVs, and treatments in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Communicate Effectively: Collaborate with healthcare team members to achieve positive patient outcomes, and provide clear and concise communication to patients and families.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure that patient rooms and department work areas are clean, well-supplied, and maintained to promote rest and healing.
- Participate in Quality Assurance: Actively participate in the implementation and monitoring of unit-based Quality Assurance standards of care.
- Support New Staff and Students: Assist in the orientation and training of new staff and nursing student clinical rotations as requested.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience: Entry-level experience in a healthcare setting
- Licenses/Certifications: Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or the ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire. Licensure to be eligible to practice as a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse in the State of Wisconsin and/or the State of Illinois based on job location assignment.
- Skills and Abilities: The ability to read, write, speak, hear, and comprehend the English language. The physical, technical, and cognitive ability, as well as manual dexterity, to use patient care equipment.
