Job Title: Polysomnographic Technician Senior
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technician Senior to join our team at Highmark Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all functions related to polysomnographic exams and multiple sleep latency testing to provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in polysomnography and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform all polysomnograms and MSLTs according to clinical practice guidelines and departmental policy and procedures.
Provide patient education and support.
Organize and prioritize workload and scheduling of patient testing in an efficient and effective manner.
Assist with billing documentation and maintain department records according to departmental policy/procedure.
Oversee the proper calibration, quality control, and analysis of all polysomnographic equipment.
Mentor polysomnographic technicians and provide educational oversight.
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of experience with sleep study testing.
Graduate of polysomnography course or completion of an approved sleep lab training program.
Current BCLS certification.
Preferred qualifications include an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, Basic EEG course, RPSGT, CRT, or RRT, and computer experience. Previous supervisory experience is also desirable.
