Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) Float Night Shift will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The RN Float Night Shift will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Current certification in CPR.
- Unit-specific orientation to Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Maternity, Med/Surg, and Behavioral Health Services.
- Completion of IV therapy, pharmacology, telemetry, ACLS, PALS, critical care, and PACU orientation within first year of hire.
Working Conditions: The Registered Nurse Float Night Shift will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling beds, wheelchairs, and recliners in excess of approximately 200 pounds with assistance.
