We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Bridge Project Manager to join our team at Horner & Shifrin. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in the Chicago, IL, and Rogers, AR areas
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities for transportation structure projects
- Prepare and submit contract proposals and cost estimates in accordance with company and client standards
- Perform and check structural engineering calculations for bridges, retaining walls, and other transportation infrastructure structures
- Participate in the preparation and checking of structural construction drawings
- Oversee project completion to meet client requirements
- Monitor project schedules and budgets, and develop strategies to complete projects on schedule and within budget
- Coordinate projects with other business units as needed
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois (for Chicago, IL location) or Arkansas (for Rogers, AR location)
- Licensed Structural Engineer in Illinois (for Chicago, IL location) (preferred)
- IDOT and/or Illinois Tollway Bridge Design Experience (for Chicago, IL location) (firm requirement)
- ArDOT Bridge Design Experience (for Rogers, AR location) (firm requirement)
- Ability to lead, manage, and schedule staff located in other offices to meet project needs
- Ability to traverse structural sites, including heights and rough terrain
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects of varying complexity
- Valid driver's license
- Must complete a background check
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Master of Science in Civil Engineering (preferred)
