Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Experienced Structural Bridge Engineer to join our team at Primera Engineers. As a key member of our Transportation division, you will be responsible for designing and developing structural engineering solutions for bridge and roadway projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design process for bridge, culvert, or retaining wall structures using standard practices and techniques of structural engineering.
  • Prepare structural plans, specifications, cost estimates, supporting documents, and permit applications.
  • Coordinate projects and collaborate with coworkers, vendors, and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Learn and grow with our company, building upon your structural career and developing your professional knowledge and abilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis and PE certification.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the transportation market, with knowledge of relevant codes and standards (AASHTO, IDOT, ISTHA, AREMA).
  • Design knowledge of key structural elements such as bridges superstructure and substructure, foundations, retaining walls, and culverts.
  • Proficiency in business and engineering applications, including Microsoft Office, Microstation, and/or AutoCAD.
