Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging didactic and/or clinical instruction to students effectively.
- Design and implement a dynamic classroom experience across various settings that enhances the learning of course objectives.
- Utilize diverse teaching methodologies to actively engage students.
- Assess student performance in both classroom and clinical environments using effective educational tools.
- Grade assignments and address student inquiries within 48 hours of submission.
- Provide timely feedback on student questions and concerns.
- Maintain clear communication with students, staff, and faculty, both verbally and in writing.
- Emphasize student-centered learning throughout the curriculum.
- A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution.
- Direct patient care experience within the last five (5) years in the relevant nursing field, which can be satisfied by:
- One (1) year of continuous, full-time experience as a registered nurse in the designated nursing area; or
- One (1) academic year of clinical teaching experience at the registered nurse level in the relevant nursing area, demonstrating clinical proficiency; AND
- Completion of at least one (1) year of teaching experience in registered nursing courses or a post-baccalaureate course that includes teaching practice.
- Possession of a current and unencumbered California Registered Nursing license.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Terminal degree (Ph.D. in Nursing or DNP) from an accredited university.
- One year of instructional experience in a Nursing program.
- Prior experience teaching adult learners in onsite, online, or hybrid formats.
- Resume/Curriculum Vitae.
- Unofficial Transcripts.
- Licenses and certifications.
- A cover letter is highly preferred.
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $69.81
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, skills, and competencies. Candidates will be offered a salary within this range for this position. Base pay is one aspect of National University's comprehensive rewards package, which supports the holistic needs of employees and their families.
