Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior System Administrator to deliver comprehensive support for system operations and maintenance in both Windows and Linux environments, with a strong emphasis on Linux proficiency. This role is crucial for the technical and application support of our Real-Time Crime Center. Responsibilities include configuring, troubleshooting, and enhancing both software and hardware systems, as well as diagnosing and resolving technical issues to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, engaging with cutting-edge technologies and addressing a variety of technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain uninterrupted operations of the Real-Time Control Center (RTCC) by providing continuous support and ensuring 24/7 system maintenance.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on systems, including TCP/IP, Transport, Network, and Link Models, through routine tasks such as backups, upgrades, and virus scans.
  • Perform corrective maintenance and issue resolution by addressing system problems promptly and facilitating the real-time replacement of faulty components.
  • Document maintenance activities meticulously and provide expert guidance during system upgrades and modifications to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Propose software and hardware improvements to enhance system performance and security.
  • Deliver training and knowledge transfer sessions for implementation teams and clients, equipping them to identify and resolve common issues independently.
  • Establish and execute backup strategies to guarantee high availability of critical systems and data.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, particularly Linux.
  • Proficient in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting containerized environments utilizing Docker and Docker-Compose.
  • Familiarity with SSH, shell scripting, and service management.
  • Strong understanding of networking technologies with the ability to diagnose and resolve related issues.
  • Hands-on experience coupled with effective problem-solving capabilities.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in system administration, supporting IT infrastructure and operations.
  • An associate's degree in information technology (IT) or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Specialization in areas such as Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, and Network Management/Administration.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), demonstrating your expertise and commitment to professional growth.
