Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN

About the Role:

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to join our team at St. Clare Hospital - Fenton. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform therapeutic and diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures to provide quality images for radiologists and physicians.
  • Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately.
  • Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Nuclear Medicine certification program.
  • No experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near and far.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent lifting/moving of patients.
  • Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Rare kneeling and sitting.
