Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Design and update training programs to cover the latest industry standards, safety regulations, and construction techniques.
  • Instruction: Teach both theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to various construction trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and masonry.
  • Safety Training: Emphasize the importance of safety on construction sites and train workers on proper use of equipment, personal protective gear, and emergency procedures.
  • Skill Assessment: Evaluate trainees' performance through assessments, practical tests, and on-the-job observations to ensure they meet required competency levels.
  • Hands-on Demonstrations: Provide live demonstrations of construction techniques, tools, and equipment usage to enhance learning and practical understanding.
  • Mentoring: Offer guidance and support to trainees, helping them navigate challenges and develop their careers in construction.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry and 2 years working in a training environment.
  • Certifications: Industry-recognized trainer certification preferred.
  • Language Skills: Spanish language skills (verbal and written) preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull 50-pound loads.
