Senior Biologist

LSA Associates INC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Biologist to join our team in Irvine, California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting biological surveys, technical report writing, and impact assessments of proposed projects on local wildlife species and plant communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct biological surveys and technical report writing, including impact assessments of proposed projects on local wildlife species and plant communities.
• Develop and implement mitigation plans to minimize the impact of projects on sensitive species and habitats.
• Collaborate with clients and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all applicable State and federal regulations.
• Supervise and train junior staff members to ensure high-quality work and efficient project delivery.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and technologies in the field of biology and ecology.

Requirements:

• BS/BA in biology, botany, ecology, environmental science, or a closely related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in biological consulting, with a strong background in wildlife species surveys, habitat assessments, and mitigation planning.
• Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GIS software.
