Position Overview:
As a Geotechnical Engineer at HNTB, you will play a vital role in shaping infrastructure projects that enhance community development. This position encompasses both design and fieldwork, providing a comprehensive experience in geotechnical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in geotechnical design by assisting in the creation and refinement of design calculations, technical documentation, engineering plans, and specifications for various projects.
- Conduct research and perform geotechnical calculations, collaborating closely with project teams to ensure successful design execution.
- Utilize engineering methodologies, procedures, and design criteria to address projects of varying scales and complexities.
- Develop both conceptual and detailed designs, leveraging advanced geotechnical software and tools to support project delivery.
- Perform field inspections, including logging borings and observing construction activities related to shallow and deep foundations across diverse project sites.
- Travel may be required to fulfill job responsibilities.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.

Desired Skills:
- A solid understanding of engineering principles pertinent to geotechnical engineering.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software such as Ensoft and Geostudio, along with familiarity in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software like MicroStation or AutoCAD.

Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Engineering is advantageous.
- Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD is preferred.
