As a Chemist in our Refining Analytical and Development (RAD) organization, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our water and wastewater systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with RAD and control lab chemists to develop and implement analytical methods that meet ASTM and regulatory standards.
  • Act as a liaison between the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Engineers and Technologists, providing expert analytical support and guidance.
  • Offer technical expertise to MPC laboratories as a subject matter expert for general water testing.
  • Support the Environmental Field Services group as needed, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and software applications, applying your knowledge to drive continuous improvement in analytical capabilities.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervision, and customers, promoting a culture of quality, safety, and sample handling best practices.
  • Exhibit ethics and integrity in all aspects of the job, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field, with a strong foundation in chemistry and analytical techniques.
  • Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience, with a focus on water methodology and analytical chemistry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
