Position Summary:
- Execute skilled manual labor tasks to ensure the upkeep of County properties and public spaces.
- Utilize automotive machinery and specialized equipment effectively.
- Work under general oversight to fulfill assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain landscaping and grounds at County properties and public spaces.
- Repair and sustain road surfaces by addressing potholes.
- Establish safety zones during road maintenance activities.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance at park facilities.
- Employ hand and power tools for various maintenance tasks.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Carry out any related duties as necessary.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with manual maintenance techniques.
- Ability to adhere to instructions and safety protocols.
- Physical capability to lift and handle equipment and materials.
- Strong communication skills.
Work Environment:
Outdoor work in diverse weather conditions, with exposure to noise and machinery. Appropriate protective equipment will be provided as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficient in reading and writing English.
- At least one year of experience in a labor-intensive role.
