Position Summary: The Credit Delivery teams are responsible for underwriting credit products for both new and existing clients while actively managing the current portfolio to fulfill client requirements and ensure suitable risk/return strategies. This group underwrites both lead and non-lead opportunities, which range from investment-grade to sponsor-owned leveraged transactions, and executes amendments, refinancings, and ancillary credit product approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage, coordinate, and execute credit event processes (underwritings, refinancings, and/or amendments) within your portfolio and as needed across the team. Collaborate with Director/VP level or Team Leader support to conduct due diligence, obtain credit approval, and facilitate legal review for transactions.
  2. Create and utilize analytical financial models, including financial projections, discounted cash flow analysis, leveraged buyout analysis, valuation analysis, and financial analysis of historical and projected cash flows.
  3. Conduct research and analysis on companies, industries, and transactions to support client activities and risk mitigation strategies.
  4. Begin to independently manage a smaller portfolio of clients with oversight from Team Leaders, primarily consisting of participations and investment-grade clients.
  5. Ensure timely submission of annual reviews, underwritings, and amendments to allow for adequate review and decision-making by the applicable approval authority.
  6. Maintain active ownership and timely processing of quarterly risk ratings within your portfolio and as needed across the team.
  7. Demonstrate leadership through the management of various projects and requests specific to assigned practice groups.

Qualifications:

  1. Undergraduate degree.
  2. 3 years of experience in underwriting and portfolio management.
  3. Strong understanding of accounting, credit, financial modeling, structuring, and underwriting.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Licenses: Series 79; Series 63; SIE.
