The Role: Specialty Account Manager
Axsome Therapeutics is seeking an experienced Specialty Account Manager to execute commercial activities for assigned geographies. The ideal candidate will establish relationships with customers, ensure successful product sales, and provide account management support. This role requires strong digital marketing aptitude, excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, as well as comfortability with uncertainty and high expectations.
Salary: The anticipated salary range for this role is $100,000 - $150,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and location. Our employment package includes an annual bonus, significant equity, and a generous benefits package.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive territory business plans to achieve quarterly and annual goals.
- Promote products within approved labeling in a fair and ethical manner.
- Maintain and develop customer relationships through a deep understanding of their needs.
- Serve as a resource and consultant to customers and staff regarding payer policies and processes.
- Maximize marketing resources to grow customer confidence in prescribing Axsome medications.
- Communicate territory activity accurately and timely as directed by management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 5 years of field customer experience and/or account management, with 3 years of Healthcare Professional experience in relevant CNS areas.
- Consistent top performance in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical sales space.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding results, strategize within cross-functional teams, and manage multiple tasks concurrently under aggressive timelines.
- Strong digital marketing aptitude and patient support services experience a plus.
